Is family different? I think for most of us, the answer is yes. You would do anything for your family, your kids, you spouse. Most of us would agree that we would give our lives up to save a family member. We might not make that commitment to a stranger or maybe even a a friend, but family... We treat family different. If I were to tell you that you had a brother or sister that you did not know about, you would be shocked, then excited. When you met them, you would stare at them and then embrace them. That is family. You would instantly bond. Even at the cousin level. "You're my cousin? We're related?" You instantly feel connected. What connects you though? Is it blood? Is it your spirit? Sometimes a family member does something heinous. Maybe it is to themselves or maybe to you or another family member. And that hurts even more than if it were from a stranger. But we can be more honest with family. You can tell your brother that you think he was being a jerk. A...
